Nostalgia

It's been a rough summer. I lost my father recently to a double whammy of Alzheimer's Disease and cancer. I miss him terribly. And, I've found I've become very nostalgic about so many things as I poured over pictures after he passed, of him and my family through the years. I grew up in the 70's and 80's so most our pictures are low quality and yellowing......but they are our pictures and I LOVE them. I am beyond saddened to have lost him....but, most of all I am saddened that my son only got to know him for a brief time. I love you Dad! And your grandson talks about you and knows that you are heaven right now keeping an eye out for us, Superman....

Julie & Robert

Hands down......the Allan House is one of the most perfect venues in Austin for a very classic and stylish wedding. Can't beat being near the Capitol either! More beautiful images coming soon. Congrats to Julie and Robert!

Little Miss M

It's always a lot of fun chasing after a two year old to see what they'll do for the camera. There is definitely a wide range of expression at this age...from angelic posing to complete hilarity.....as you shall see below ;)

Baby E

This little baby was such a complete angel putting up with the muggy Austin heat this morning! It's such a treat when I get to see the babies from the brides and grooms I worked with. Here's just a couple for a sneak peek:

~Headshots~

Headshots for your business don't have to be stuffy and lacking personality nowadays. Don't forget to periodically update your website and business cards with a current portrait. It always helps my clients feel more comfortable when they know who they will be working with!

Mayfield Park

I'm way behind on updating my blog but I just had to get a few of this couple up here. We did their engagement session at Mayfield Park last week. It had been quite a while since I had been there and I forgot how absolutely lovely the light is filtering through all those giant trees. Janette and Tim were super easy to work with and I loved Janette's sense of humor! I think I'll call her "Ricky Bobby" from now on....ok, you'll have to ask here about the hands....I didn't dare post those pics here! ;) Can't wait for this wedding in November at the Barr Mansion!
